Ph.D. in Information Systems and Technology | 2024 Claremont Graduate University | Claremont, Ca • My dissertation explores California’s unique climate that supports a diverse range of crops, including a study on the potential for sustainable coffee production using the maximum entropy approach and WorldClim data amidst changing climatic conditions.
• Designed, conducted, analyzed, and interpreted results of non-causal and causal quantitative research using programs like ATLAS.ti and PLS-SEM within a controlled setting to answer questions within different industries
• Conducted qualitative research on the relationship between music and studying using open, axial, and selective coding to interpret the data collection obtained through interviewed surveys
Master of Science in Information Systems and Technology | 2022 Claremont Graduate University | Claremont, Ca • Designed and implemented data access structure for an existing sales relational database system with two types of users, including indexes, views, and stored procedures using SQL in Microsoft Azure to present an organized schema
• Analyzed and visualized network data for Bitcoin OTC platform that contained 6005 users and applied techniques for modeling social network formation and evolution using machine learning to predict if users trust other users
• Examined and performed predictive analytics on the 2015 patient characteristics survey data conducted by the New York Office of Mental Health using Microsoft Azure Machine Learning to show a predictive supervised forest algorithm
• Developed a strong system design and artifact for an IOS system by creating a prototype model to help reduce cognitive stress and interruption overload daily, published paper for AMCIS 2020
Master of Business Administration emphasis in GIS | 2017 University of Redlands | Redlands, Ca • Designed and created a marketing plan with two other individuals for a small business within the craft beer industry using ArcGIS and Tableau to analyze new business locations, potential customers, and nearest competition
• Completed and ran a cell phone screen manufacture simulated company with four other individuals that focused on the supply and demand of cell phones with four quarters of sales
• Created an ESRI story map and a Tableau dashboard on Airbnb Los Angeles using Airbnb public data showing where sellers are violating policies and regulations
Bachelor of Arts in Latino Studies | 2010 San Francisco State University | San Francisco, Ca • Wrote and published a personal testimonial of the journey to obtain my education and created a poetry publication that was made in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Publisher and was distributed in coffee shops and festivals
• Organized a Mission District community Day of the Dead event that served over 2,000 people by assisting all the artists that educated individuals about the Latino culture
• Organized a 30-individual conference workshop for a community non-profit organization by educating participants on business plans, licenses, insurance, and payroll systems that helped women obtain a small business
• Participated with a group to provide street theater entertainment on Day of the Dead that educated individuals on amazing women in Latino history
